Visiting this website
To deliver this website and protect it against misuse, technical connection data is processed, including your IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser information and response status. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to provide a reliable, secure website.
Hosting, content delivery and technical protection are provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare processes technical data as a service provider. We do not create advertising profiles or maintain a separate database of identifiable website visitors. Optional usage measurement is explained below. Additional application request logging is disabled.
Optional website statistics
Only if you select “Allow statistics”, we load Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are used and improve the website. The service processes the page address, referring page where available, browser and device information, approximate country, page views and loading performance. Your IP address is necessarily received during transmission; Cloudflare states that its analytics service discards it at the receiving data centre rather than retaining it in analytics databases or logs. It does not use analytics cookies or identify you across different websites. We receive statistical reports, not a list of named visitors.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You may decline without losing access to any website function. Use “Analytics settings” in the footer and select “Decline” to withdraw consent for future measurement; the page reloads if measurement was already running. Previous lawful processing is unaffected. Contact and legal pages are excluded from this optional measurement, and contact form contents are not sent to Analytics.
We store your choice, decision time and notice version in your browser for up to 180 days, solely to remember and apply your preference. This necessary preference storage is based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, in our legitimate interest in respecting your decision. Clearing browser storage removes the preference. The analytics service does not create a permanent visitor identifier. Cloudflare retains statistical data according to its service retention rules; we do not build a separate raw-data archive. For details, see Cloudflare’s description of analytics data processing and its privacy policy. Cloudflare may process data internationally as described below.
Contacting us
When you use the contact form, we process your email address and message, together with your name if you choose to provide it. Your email address and message are required to process and reply to your request. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry. You can also email us directly.
The form is processed on Cloudflare and messages are delivered to info@rivertake.com. Our mailbox is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. There is no separate database of contact form submissions on the website. Technical delivery information may be processed by the providers.
For enquiries relating to a contract or steps before entering a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. Sending a message is voluntary; without a reachable email address we cannot reply.
Protection against spam
The form uses an invisible decoy field and checks the request source, field contents and request size. Temporary limits on requests from an IP address help prevent spam. These measures are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in protecting the contact service. No external CAPTCHA widget is embedded.
International processing
Cloudflare operates a global network, so processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Cloudflare's data processing terms provide safeguards for international transfers, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and EU standard contractual clauses. Details and the applicable safeguards are available in Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum. You may also request information about these safeguards from us.
Retention
We retain correspondence while it is needed to handle your enquiry and necessary follow-up questions. We then delete it unless statutory retention requirements or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require longer retention. Temporary request limits use short time windows; we do not maintain a permanent list of visitors for this purpose. Provider operational and security data is retained according to the purposes and retention rules of the relevant service. Further information is available in the Cloudflare privacy policy and STRATO privacy information.
Cookies, language and media
Our website does not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels. Browser storage is used only to remember your analytics preference as described above. Your language choice is reflected in the page URL and is not stored in a cookie. Images, fonts and videos are served with the website; no external font, video or social media widgets are embedded. Videos play only when you start them.
External links connect to another provider only when you follow them. The linked provider is responsible for its own processing.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Right to object
You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please contact us using the email address above.
Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for our location is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate.
