Rivertake

Gemvolt Privacy policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

This policy covers the Gemvolt Android game and its local browser version, published by Rivertake. It explains gameplay and records stored on your device, the Android advertising services and the optional Google Play purchase. Service availability depends on the build, configuration, region and connectivity. Test builds use test advertising. Our website privacy notice separately explains requests made when you open this page.

1. Gameplay, settings and local storage

You do not create a Rivertake account to play Gemvolt. The game stores level progress, stars, best scores, achievements, unfinished rounds, daily-task progress and music, sound, vibration and language preferences locally. Daily tasks are generated from the device date without a Rivertake server. An update can retain previous local progress values to migrate them safely. These records stay on the device; Gemvolt does not upload them to a Rivertake gameplay server or provide cloud saves. The browser version uses local browser storage and does not include the Android advertising or payment SDKs.

For our processing, providing requested gameplay and purchase access relies on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where applicable. Remembering requested preferences, migrating existing saves and preventing lost or duplicate local records supports our legitimate interest in a reliable game under Article 6(1)(f). Storage necessary for these requested functions is separate from optional advertising identifiers and consent.

2. Advertising and privacy choices

The free Android version integrates Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform. Where a permitted, available ad is ready, an advertising break can follow a completed round or an ended played Endless session. Buying the full version removes the game's interstitial advertisements. It does not erase records already held by providers or remove embedded SDKs.

Advertising services may process IP addresses, approximate location derived from IP addresses, app and ad interactions, diagnostics, device or account identifiers such as the advertising ID or app-set ID, and privacy choices. Purposes include advertising delivery, measurement, security, fraud prevention and service operation. Google states that Mobile Ads data is encrypted in transit. Advertising partners and their purposes are described in Google's privacy form where provided. See Google's privacy policy and information about partner apps.

Where required, Google's form lets you consent, decline or manage advertising choices. Optional processing requiring consent relies on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where applicable. A refusal is not permission for personalized advertising. Provider notices explain the basis for their essential operation and security processing. In Settings, Privacy choices appears when Google requires an available privacy-options entry, including after a full-version purchase. You can revisit those choices there. Withdrawal applies for the future. Android also provides controls to reset or delete the advertising ID. Declining consent does not purchase the full version; restricted ads may still be requested where Google permits them.

3. Google Play purchases

Google Play handles the optional one-time full-version purchase and payment information. Gemvolt does not receive your payment-card details. The Android app queries the product, localized price and purchase state, checks signed purchase information for this app and product using its public license key, and acknowledges completed purchases. It stores signed receipt data and the signature in private local app preferences to maintain offline access. Online purchase queries reconcile ownership, for example after a refund or restoration. No purchase receipt is sent to a separate Rivertake verification server in this implementation.

Purchase processing necessary to provide paid access relies on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for our processing where applicable. Google processes its payment and account records under its own terms and privacy information. Clearing Gemvolt data does not cancel a Google Play purchase. You can use Restore purchase with the relevant Google Play account.

4. Local records

The Records screen shows only your own scores and stars stored on this device. Gemvolt does not connect to Google Play Games, create a gamer profile or submit scores to online leaderboards. It does not synchronize your records, unfinished game or progression across devices.

No sign-in is required to play or view your local records. The Google Play account used for an optional purchase or restoration is separate from these records. Clearing app storage removes local records; restoring a purchase does not restore them.

5. Permissions and communications

The Android app uses internet and network-state access for Google services and vibration for optional haptic feedback. Gemvolt does not request your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or precise-location permission. Approximate location inferred by advertising services from an IP address is a separate matter.

If you email support, we process the information you send to answer your request and handle necessary follow-up. Depending on the request, this relies on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Article 6(1)(f). Our business email provider is STRATO GmbH, Germany. Do not send passwords, signing keys or full payment-card details.

6. Retention, deletion and security

Local gameplay and settings remain until cleared or removed. In Android, clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the app's local records; the app disables Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup for its data. In a browser, clear the site's local storage or browser data. There is no Rivertake player account to delete and we cannot remotely identify or erase your local board. A purchase can be restored through Google Play, but this does not restore local level progress.

We keep support correspondence while needed to resolve the enquiry and necessary follow-up, then delete it unless statutory retention duties or legal claims require longer retention. Google and advertising partners apply their own retention rules, explained in their notices. Deleting local data does not delete their independent transaction, advertising or account records.

Local Android information is kept within the app's private storage; browser storage follows your browser's protections. Provider connections and this policy use HTTPS. The Android WebView loads the bundled game and opens the fixed privacy-policy destination in an external browser. No security measure guarantees absolute protection.

7. Providers and international processing

Google services and advertising partners may process information outside your country, including the United States. The relevant Google entity and its role depend on the service and region; Google's notice identifies it. Applicable transfer mechanisms may include adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified participants, or Standard Contractual Clauses with required safeguards. See Google's transfer safeguards for details and how to obtain further information. Requests to our website involve its hosting services, separately described in the website privacy notice.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, withdraw consent for future processing and object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing. Contact info@rivertake.com and explain the request. We may need enough information to identify the records concerned. We do not receive your local gameplay records automatically. Requests about Google's own records may also need to be directed to Google through its privacy controls.

You can complain to a competent data-protection authority, including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate. Rivertake does not use Gemvolt gameplay data to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Request data deletion

  1. Email info@rivertake.com with the subject Gemvolt data deletion.
  2. Tell us which support messages, attachments or other information you sent us you want deleted. If possible, write from the email address used for your enquiry and give its approximate date so we can find it. Do not send passwords or payment details.

We can delete support correspondence and information you supplied that we still hold. We retain information only while needed for the enquiry and necessary follow-up, unless statutory retention duties or legal claims require longer retention, as explained in section 6.

Game progress, records and unfinished rounds are stored on your device, not on a Rivertake server, so we cannot erase them remotely. To remove them on Android, open device Settings → Apps → Gemvolt → Storage → Clear storage / Clear data (labels vary by device). This also clears local settings. In the browser version, clear the browser data or local storage for the game. This loses local progress; restoring a purchase does not restore it.

Google manages advertising and purchase records separately under its own policies. Deleting our support correspondence or local game data does not erase Google's records or cancel a Google Play purchase. Use Google's account and privacy controls for requests concerning its records.

9. Updates and contact

We update this notice when the game's data practices change and show the revision date above. You can reopen it through Settings → Help → Privacy policy. This page does not require advertising consent, a game purchase or a player account.
